Prayer
God,
Give me a heart that can recognize peace.
Not a false peace that comes from avoiding difficult things, but the deep peace that comes from trusting You.
When fear rises, help me not to assume that fear means stop.
When I feel uncertain, help me remember that uncertainty does not mean You have left me.
Quiet the frantic voices within me. Let Your presence become steadier than my circumstances.
And when I need to make a decision, help me listen for the place where trust is stronger than fear.
Amen.
Verse of the Day
Reflection
I've noticed that peace rarely makes a spectacle of itself.
Pressure does.
Fear does.
Urgency certainly does.
They demand attention.
Peace often doesn't.
Peace can feel almost ordinary.
A quiet knowing.
A settled heart.
A sense that you don't need to keep arguing with yourself.
It doesn't necessarily mean you're excited.
It doesn't even mean you're completely certain.
Sometimes you can be deeply nervous about something and still have peace.
Because peace isn't the absence of fear, it is the presence of trust.
That distinction matters.
We can become so accustomed to looking for certainty that we miss something quieter and more trustworthy.
Perhaps the question isn't: “Am I completely unafraid?”
Perhaps it is: “Can I trust God with this?”
You may still have butterflies.
You may still have questions.
You may still wonder how everything will work out.
But somewhere underneath all of that, there can be a steadiness that says: I don't know what happens next. But I know who is with me.
That kind of peace doesn't need to prove itself. It simply stays.
Encouragement
Invitation
Think about the decision or invitation you've been carrying.
Where do you feel pressure?
And where, underneath the noise, do you sense peace?
Pay attention to the difference.

Faith Over Fear: Walking Angie Home
We all long for purpose — to know our lives matter and our faith leaves a mark. For Angie, that purpose unfolded in the midst of unimaginable struggle. When she received a life-changing diagnosis in March 2017, her response was simple yet profound: Faith Over Fear. Through her journal entries and the reflections of her mother, sisters, and fiancé, this book shares Angie’s radiant spirit — her laughter, her grace, and her unshakable faith that pointed everyone back to God.
Faith Over Fear is more than Angie’s story — it’s an invitation to find blessings in the broken places, to notice the “God Things” woven through every trial, and to remember that even in heartbreak, we are never alone.
At Purpose + Grit, we’re creating a home where faith grows deeper, creativity is nurtured, and stories remind us we’re never alone.
This is a place to slow down, pay attention, make beautiful things, and remember that the ordinary pieces of our lives can become places where God meets us.
Thank you for being part of this little corner of the world—and for helping us make room for more faith, more creativity, and more honest stories along the way.
Everything you receive here is offered freely because we believe good things are worth sharing. If this space has encouraged you, helped you notice something beautiful, or simply given you a few quiet moments, you can help us continue creating and sharing this work by supporting our tip jar below.
