Prayer

God,

Make me attentive to Your voice.

Give me wisdom to distinguish Your invitation from my own noise, fear, ambition, or urgency.

When You are drawing me toward something, help me recognize it.

When something is not mine to carry, give me the courage to leave it behind.

And when I don't know, help me wait.

I don't want to chase every possibility. I want to walk with You.

Show me the way for today.

Amen.

Have you ever had a thought that wouldn't leave?

Not an anxious thought.

Not a demand.

Just a quiet little nudge.

Send the message.

Reach out to her.

Make the thing.

Go outside.

Open your Bible.

Apologize.

Rest.

Try again.

Pay attention.

We sometimes dismiss these moments because they seem too small to matter.

Perhaps that's part of what makes them easy to miss.

We are looking for burning bushes while God is often faithful in the whisper.

A holy nudge doesn't always come with certainty.

It may not come with a complete explanation.

It may simply invite you toward the next faithful thing.

And here's an important distinction:

Not every thought is God's voice.

Not every desire is a divine assignment.

Not every opportunity deserves your yes.

That's why this month isn't about becoming better at chasing signs.

It's about becoming more attentive to God.

We listen.

We bring things to Scripture.

We pray.

We notice what produces peace rather than pressure.

We give ourselves permission to wait.

And sometimes, after all that listening, there is simply a quiet sense:

This way.

You don't need the whole map.

You may only need enough courage to take the next step.
