Prayer
God,
I am tired of carrying what I was never meant to carry alone. Teach me to receive rest without guilt. Help me trust that the world will continue turning while I pause. Remind me that my worth is not determined by my productivity and that You love me just as much in stillness as You do in accomplishment.
Amen.

Reflection
Sometimes we believe we have to finish everything before we're allowed to rest.
The garden must be weeded.
The work must be completed.
The dream must be accomplished.
The harvest must be gathered.
Then we can breathe.
But Jesus doesn't say, Come to Me when you've finished everything.
He says, Come to Me when you're weary.
Rest isn't a reward for completing your work.
It's part of how God cares for you while you're doing it.
There will always be another thing to tend.
Another email.
Another project.
Another responsibility.
If you wait until everything is finished to rest, you may never rest at all.
The garden can wait.
You are not a machine.
You are a beloved child of God.

Give yourself permission to stop working for a little while today. Receive the rest instead of earning it.
