Prayer
God,
I want my yes to belong to You.
Free me from the need to say yes to prove something.
Free me from guilt.
Free me from comparison.
Free me from the fear of missing out.
Help me become more discerning, more intentional, and more honest about what You are asking of me.
Let my yes be wholehearted.
Let my no be gracious.
Let my waiting be trusting.
And let everything I choose, be held in open hands before You.
Amen.

Reflection
There is something deeply sacred about an honest yes.
Not saying yes because everyone else is saying yes.
Not just replying yes because you are afraid of what someone will think if you say no.
Not a yes because you have something to prove.
Just: Yes.
A willing yes.
A surrendered yes.
A yes that comes full-heartedly from you.
This is part of what discernment protects.
Because if you don't know what is yours, you can spend your life responding to everyone else's invitations.
Their needs.
Their expectations.
Their timelines.
Their dreams.
Their definitions of success.
And eventually, you may find yourself living a life that is very full...
but not necessarily your own.
God's invitations don't require you to abandon yourself.
They draw you more deeply into the person He created you to be.
So this is the invitation before us now...
Not simply to say yes, but to become the kind of person whose yes is intentional.
Whose no is honest.
Whose waiting is peaceful.
Whose work is faithful.
Whose hands remain open.
Because a faithful life isn't built from saying yes to everything, it is built from learning whose invitations are worth answering.

Ask yourself: What have I noticed that I believe may be an invitation from God?
And then ask: Am I ready to respond—or is there still something I need to discern?
You don't have to rush. We're learning to listen before we move.
