God,
Help me notice the new things You are doing.
Sometimes I become so familiar with my own story that I don't recognize the ways You have changed it.
Give me fresh eyes.
Help me notice the difference between who I was and who I am becoming.
And when I see it, let gratitude be my first response.
Amen.

There are seasons when growth feels like nothing more than repetition.
The same prayer.
The same choice.
The same faithful step.
Until one day you realize you're responding differently than you used to.
You don't react quite as quickly.
You don't need everyone's approval.
You recover more quickly.
You know when to say no.
You know when to stay.
You know how to ask for help.
You recognize God's voice a little more readily.
That's growth.
And sometimes you only recognize it when you look back.
