This October, journey with us as we slow down to recognize what God has been growing, receive the fruit of His faithfulness, and give thanks for the harvest.

Prayer
God,
Thank You for being the One who gives the growth.
Forgive me for the times I've taken too much credit for what You have done, and for the times I've taken too much blame for what I could not control.
Help me faithfully tend what You have placed in my hands and trust You with the growing.
Show me what You have been cultivating in me and give me the humility to receive it as a gift.
Amen.
Verse of the Day
Reflection
I love this picture Paul gives us.
One person plants.
Another waters.
But God gives the growth.
It reminds me that we participate in what God is doing, but we are not ultimately responsible for making everything grow.
We can show up.
We can be faithful.
We can tend the soil.
We can water what has been entrusted to us.
But we cannot force a seed to become a harvest.
And maybe that's a relief.
So today, instead of asking, What do I need to make happen?
Try asking: What has God already been growing?
That's a very different question.

Invitation
Make a list today—not of what you want God to grow next, but of what you can already see Him growing.
And if you'd like a place to keep noticing, reflecting, creating, and practicing these rhythms beyond these daily emails, The Practice is open to you.
You can join us at any point in the year. You don't have to wait for a new beginning.
