The Fruit You Almost Missed

Today, think back to where you were a year ago. What is different now? Don't judge it. Don't turn it into a list of accomplishments. Just notice.

This October, journey with us as we slow down to recognize what God has been growing, receive the fruit of His faithfulness, and give thanks for the harvest.

Prayer

God,

Open my eyes to the things You have been growing that I have overlooked.

I am so quick to look for what is missing, unfinished, or still waiting to happen. Help me notice the fruit that is already here.

Show me the ways I have grown. Remind me of prayers You have answered in ways I almost forgot. Help me recognize the quiet work You have been doing in me, even when I couldn't see it happening.

Teach me to stop measuring my life by what remains undone.

Let me see what You see.

Amen.

Verse of the Day

Reflection

Sometimes we are standing right in the middle of an answer and don't even recognize it.

We expected the harvest to look different.

Bigger. More obvious. Easier to point to.

But some of the most important things God grows in us don't arrive with much fanfare.

Patience.

Courage.

Wisdom.

A softer heart.

A willingness to try again.

The ability to say no.

The ability to rest.

A deeper trust in God when we still don't know how the story will unfold.

These things can be easy to overlook because they don't always feel like accomplishments.

But they are fruit.

And maybe part of the invitation this month is simply to become better at recognizing it.

Today, think back to where you were a year ago. What is different now?

Don't judge it. Don't turn it into a list of accomplishments.

Just notice.
