You are loved. | 1 Corinthians 13:13

Join us as we lean into love this February.

Prayer

May you feel to the depths of your soul how loved you are. May you see the way others light up because of the way you treat them. May you feel the warmth and comfort you bring into conversation. May you know to the core of your being your worth and may you feel truly loved, not just today but every day. Amen.

The story behind this prayer...

Sometimes when you are deep in the chaos and heaviness of everyday life, it can be hard to remember how deeply loved you are. The people you are closest to get busy. Negative thoughts can take root, and feelings of being overlooked, unneeded, or left out can arise. Sneaky emotions can steal your peace and make you question how much you actually mean to those around you.

If you have ever felt this way, know that this prayer was created for you. In this moment, I pray that God intervenes to remind you of the ways you are deeply loved. I pray that you get that tingly feeling throughout your body as you recall the strong connections you have had with others throughout your life.

You are love. You are light. As you speak, you bring warmth and comfort. You are a safe space. You matter to so many people. To the core of your very being, you are adored. In this moment, I pray that you feel the energy of the millions of connections that have happened throughout your life, reminding you of just how deeply loved you are. You are loved by your Maker. You are loved by your family, your friends, and countless people who have been touched by your soul.

You are so deeply loved. May you feel it to the depths of your soul.

Creator Connection with Love Does That

Love Does That exists to support women during difficult seasons like grief, depression, anxiety, and illness. Here you can find spiritual direction, journal coaching, workshops, and sympathy gifts. Plus, you can listen to the Journal Gently podcast for free training and encouragement to help you meet with God on the pages of your journal.

Hi! My name is Kari Bartkus and I'm a spiritual director for Christian women. While I work with anyone desiring to grow closer to God, my heart is drawn toward those more introverted women who process life through writing. That's why we use email to write back and forth in spiritual direction, and it's also why I focus so much on journaling and meeting God on the pages of our journals.

I've experienced my own share of dark seasons and trying times. I know it can be hard to sense God's presence there or to find others to trust. Things like grief, depression, and anxiety can feel like a heaviness we're forced to carry around, not to mention experiences like betrayal, divorce, and trauma.

Finding a trusted companion to walk through that season can be so incredibly life-giving. Yet even for those who aren't ready to let someone in, journaling can provide an outlet, a way to express what is stirring inside and still seek after God.

I have two physical products I offer at this time: my tear bottles (a sympathy gift) and my book, "Courageous Care: Helping Others Even When You're Afraid." The tear bottles serve as a reminder of God's presence during difficult seasons.
