Prayer
God,
Quiet the part of me that is always reaching for more.
More progress. More certainty. More answers. More evidence that I'm doing enough.
Help me recognize the difference between a dream You are inviting me to pursue and a restlessness that keeps me from appreciating where I am.
Give me the courage to keep growing without despising the season I'm in.
Remind me that contentment isn't giving up. It's learning to trust You here, even as I remain open to what comes next.
Amen.
Verse of the Day
Reflection
There is nothing wrong with wanting more.
More time with the people you love. More room to create. More freedom to follow a dream. More opportunities to serve. More of the life you sense God inviting you into.
Desire can be a beautiful thing.
But sometimes our desire for what comes next makes it difficult to receive what is already here.
We tell ourselves we'll be happy when the project is finished, when the money is saved, when the dream finally takes shape, when we have a little more time.
And then we get there, and somehow the goal moves.
Contentment can feel unfamiliar when we're used to measuring life by what's still missing.
But contentment doesn't ask us to stop dreaming. It asks us to stop treating the present as though it has nothing to offer until the future arrives.
You can want to grow and still be grateful for where you are.
You can hope for change and still recognize the goodness of today.
You can keep tending the garden without believing it is barren.
Maybe enough isn't a number or a destination. Maybe it's a way of receiving this moment while trusting God with the next one.

When you catch yourself thinking, I'll be happy when…, pause for a moment.
Ask yourself what goodness might be available to you today, right where you are.
Name it. Thank God for it. If there's someone who would understand why it matters, tell them about it.
