Prayer
God,
As one season draws to a close, help me resist the urge to rush into the next one before I have had time to breathe.
Thank You for what this season has taught me, for the growth I can see, and for the things I am still learning to understand. Help me carry its wisdom without carrying every worry, expectation, or unfinished task.
When the time comes to begin again, give me fresh eyes and an open heart. I don't need to have the whole plan today. I need only to remain attentive to You.
Prepare me for what comes next and let me trust that Your grace will meet me there.
Amen.

Reflection
It's tempting to treat the end of a season like a starting gun for the next one.
Before we've even paused to take a breath, we're making lists, setting goals, and trying to figure out what needs to happen next. We want to be ready. We want to make good use of what we've learned. We don't want to lose momentum.
But there is a difference between carrying wisdom forward and carrying urgency forward.
The next season will have its own needs, its own invitations, and its own pace. What served you well in one season may need to change in another. The rhythms that helped you grow may need room to breathe. The things you once felt called to pursue may look different now that you have lived a little more life.
You don't have to decide all of that today.
There is grace for the transition between what has been and what is coming. You can give thanks for this season without knowing exactly how to use everything it taught you. You can rest without having a new plan waiting on the other side.
When the next invitation comes, you can meet it then.
For now, let yourself arrive at the end of this month. Notice what has grown. Release what you can. Give thanks for what you have received.
The next season will come soon enough, and God will be there, too.
